Aims:
The aims of chemical handling course is to provide all contractor, supervisors, personnel with awareness and knowledge to control, the potential safety and health hazards, or environmental damage arising from the transport, storage handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
Objectives:
On completion of the course, the competencies shall include but not be limited to the trainee being able to:-
Identify the class of a hazardous chemical by recognising signs, symbols and labels.
Describe the safety, Health and environmetal hazards of commonly occuring hazardous chemicals.
Describe and apply the procedures for approvel of chemicals.
Apply safety handling date in SHOC system.
Identify the four modes exposure to hazardous chemicals.
